Shopping Experience Reviews

Within merchant reviews, Pakk implements a specific type of review that we call a “shopping experience review”.

This review is solicited from the customer immediately after they have placed an order (on the the “Thank You” page). This type of review generally has an extremely high “hit rate” because the customer is right at the place where the review is left, so there is very little friction or obstacle to them leaving a review.

Given that we expect customers shopping on Pakk-powered stores to be bowled over by the shopping experience, we would very strongly expect “shopping experience” reviews to be overwhelmingly positive. Therefore, enabling “shopping experience” reviews can lead to large numbers of positive merchant reviews - which reflects well on your site.

How to Set Up

Configuration options for “shopping experience reviews” are in Setup > Website > Reviews (tab) > Shopping Experience (section). Here’s what each option does:

  • Enable review switch on the “shopping experience” review functionality. If you leave this unchecked, no reviews will be solicited on the Thank You page after an order is placed.

  • Send notifications to enter recipients for the administration notification email for when a review is left.

  • Custom comments placeholder customise the text box where the customer writes their review

  • Review questions create custom questions to gather extra feedback in the review
