Related Groups
Mark a category as a related group
to switch it from acting as a navigation category to acting as a grouping of products for cross-selling purposes.
When products are in a related group together, each of the products is considered to be related to each of the others - i.e. the relationship goes both ways. When a shopper is viewing the product drilldown page of any of the products in the related group, the will be presented with a list of "recommendations" which will be all the other products in the related group.
You can prefix the list of recommendations with a custom phrase, something like the typical "If you like this, then you'll love these..." by entering a related group introduction
.
Tip: Get creative with your related groups. The typical "Other customers bought" or "You might also like" are simple options, but you can use related groups in any number of creative ways to guide customers to products you'd like them to see. Try coming up with interesting
related group introduction
phrases, like "This year everyone is wearing yellow" and try to really curate your products, rather than just cross referencing them.
