Main Menu

The main menu is the heart of your site navigation. It can either be displayed at the top, as part of the header (on desktop) or as a vertical slide in menu (on mobile). There is also the option to use the vertical format even on desktop (see 'Additional Points')

Automatically generates a menu based on the product categories you have created in the 'Categories' section of the admin panel. Additionally, 'On Sale' and 'New' categories are included if configured in the 'Pages -> Other pages' section of this website.

Additional Points

Header Layout

The main menu display depends on how you have your Header Layout set. For 'Horizontal Layout', the main menu will display as part of the header when on desktop, but as a vertical side menu when on desktop. If you choose 'Vertical Layout', the menu will always be a vertical side menu.

Graphic vs Text Menu

Text Menu consists of links only and supports up to three levels of categories. This option is simple and lightweight, ideal for text-based navigation.

Graphic Menu displays images for each subcategory (you need to set an image for each category) and supports only two levels of categories on desktop in the classic header. The visual result of the Graphic Menu can vary significantly depending on the header configuration chosen. For example, in a classic dropdown menu, the images are large and can display detailed visuals, making it ideal for more complex images. However, in vertical and mobile menus (as well as, on a horizontal no dropdown menu), the images are rendered smaller, so it's better to use simpler, icon-style images to ensure clarity. Additionally, the level at which the images are displayed may vary depending on the header configuration.

When the Graphic Menu is selected, the images are not only added to the main navigation menus but also to the category pages. If a category has subcategories, the navigation presented on the category page will include these images. With the Text Menu option, navigation on category pages will be text-only, without images.

Note: Be mindful of the type of images you choose, as more detailed images may not render well in compact views.

No Menu

Be careful if you intent to select the 'No Menu' option for your main menu - it implies that in mobile layout, no aux bar menu will be visible either, since on mobile (and vertical header layout), the aux bar menu lives inside the sidebar, and since you have chosen 'no menu' there will be no way to open the sidebar.
