Sorting

Sorting refers to the order of presentation of products on a category page

Default Sorting

By default, products are listed in alphabetical order by SKU. You can manually affect the ordering of products, by setting the priority field on the product record - higher priorites (i.e. larger numbers) will appear before lower.

Initial Sort of Products By

This setting will override the default sorting for a category. It can be secified at Website level, in which case it affects the whole site, and/or be overriden on a Product Category basis.

To set up initial sorting, add sort fields to the list and decide whether sorting should be ascending or descending. Note that the order of the sort fields is important, sort will first be done by the top field, and the second field will only apply when two or more products have an equal value for the first field, and so on.
