# Composite Products

Basically, *composite products* are "made out of other products". On orders, composites are transformed into their component members, along with any *discount adjustment lines* necessary so that the net price matches the advertised price of the composite. Here's a worked example:

* You create Composite A which consists of 5 units of Stockable A
* The price of Stockable A is 3 GBP
* The price of Composite A is set at 12 GBP
* Therefore, this represents an effective discount on the composite of 3 GBP (5 x 3 = 15 - 12 = 3)
* When transformed on an order, a discount adjustment line will be created in the sum of 3 GBP so that the net total is 12 GBP (the quoted price of the composite)

If you need to create quantity discounts for different bulk amounts of a product, you can therefore use *Composite Products*, varying the number of units and the net price to achieve the discount you are looking for.
